Guardian Home Program

At Jersey Golden Retrievers, we believe every dog deserves a loving, permanent home. All of our dogs are raised as part of our family and live in our home rather than in kennels, ensuring they receive constant care, attention, and socialization. To maintain this high standard of living for our dogs, we created our Guardian Home Program. This program allows approved families to provide a forever home—known as a Guardian Home—for one of our breeding males or females.

The concept is simple and a wonderful opportunity for families who wish to partner with us. As a Guardian Home, you will welcome one of our exceptional “pick of the litter” puppies into your family. Instead of purchasing the puppy, you receive him or her at no cost. Jersey Golden Retrievers retains all breeding rights throughout the dog’s breeding career, typically consisting of 3–4 litters. We reserve the right to discontinue participation in the Guardian Home Program at any time if necessary.

Once your dog’s breeding career is complete, he or she will be spayed or neutered at our expense and will remain with you as your cherished family companion.

Guardian Home Requirements

• You must live 60 minutes or less from Freehold, NJ.

• Understanding communication is key to being a successful guardian home

• Have a fenced-in backyard

• Have no other intact males in the house.

• Feed Purina Pro Plan dog food

• Keep the dog UTD on all shots and other veterinary needs

• Own your own home (Not required but encouraged)

• Be willing to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, leave it.

• Be willing to socialize puppies. This is very important!

• Provide your dog with regular exercise.
